Youth Open House

Our Youth Program will provide clinics and day camps over the summer with many different STEAM lessons from LEGO Robotics to T Trak N Scale train modules.

The museum will establish “Youth Program Teams” which will engage kids in a model railroading experience which will focus on STEAM (SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY,
ENGINEERING, ART, MATH)  The STEAM
Team is for kids ages 5-12 and the T Trak Team for kids 13 -18 although some age adjustment will be considered based on the kid’s and parents’ request. Team membership is free, and the
teams will meet on a regular schedule all year.

Come to the Open House where we will establish the two Teams and listen to your questions, comments and suggestions. The kids can come to learn more about model trains, making dioramas and building modular layouts which can be assembled to create model train layouts. The focus will be on hands-on activities. The Youth
Program encourages our members to participate as volunteers in our Youth Program.
